As a full-fledged plan by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) through their Core Support Category, the Assistance With Daily Living is crafted to provide NDIS participants with all the support required to lead a happy and positive life.

Assistance with Daily Living​

Assistance with Daily Living is a budget under the Core Supports category. It covers support with everyday personal activities that assist you to live as independently as possible at home & in the community. You can use your funding across any of the following four support categories. However, there are instances where you do not have flexibility in your funding, particularly for transport funding.

  • Daily Activities : assistance with everyday needs, household cleaning and/or yard maintenance.
  • Consumables :  continence products or low-cost assistive technology and equipment to improve your independence and/or mobility.
  • Social and Community Participation : a support worker to assist you to participate in social and community activities.
  • Transport : support that helps you travel to work or other places that will help you pursue the goals in your plan.
    How you can spend your transport funding and how it is paid to you (whether upfront or in regular payments) will be different for each person.

What does the Assistance With Daily Living funding cover?

To sum up, the Assistance With Daily Living (Support Category 1.01, NDIS) will financially assist with daily living activities under personal hygiene, day-to-day activities, participation in community tasks; all under able supervision.
